The world of The Tribes is far more than it appears to human eyes. Hidden among the branches and hollows of ordinary forests lives a community of intelligent squirrels whose ancestors arrived on Earth long ago after a catastrophic accident stranded them far from their original home. Over generations they built villages, traditions, and a society of their own, all while remaining unnoticed by the giant creatures they call humans.
To most people, squirrels seem like simple animals gathering acorns and chasing one another through the trees. The truth is much more complicated. Beneath the leaves exists a world of friendships, rivalries, mysteries, responsibilities, and adventures, where young squirrels like Flynn, Skitterleaf, Pippin, and their friends are slowly discovering what it means to become part of something larger than themselves.
