The Garden of Eden

The Garden of Eden: A Story of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Mercy is a creative interpretation of one of the most sacred and profound stories in human history—the story of humanity’s first steps, first failure, and the first display of divine mercy.

This story is not meant to replace or rewrite the biblical account found in the Book of Genesis. Instead, it is an imaginative exploration of the emotional, spiritual, and symbolic layers within that story. It was written with deep reverence for the original Scripture and the enduring truths it reveals.

Throughout this retelling, I have remained faithful to the core events of the Genesis narrative: the creation of Adam and Eve, the temptation, the fall, and their expulsion from Eden. What I’ve added are emotional and spiritual perspectives—moments of reflection, heavenly deliberation, and the inner thoughts of Adam, Eve, God, and even Lucifer.

My intention is not to challenge the text, but to invite deeper reflection on what it means to gain knowledge without wisdom, to fall from innocence, and yet still be loved.

This story is told in six chapters, each building upon the next to unfold the beauty, sorrow, and hope that exist at the very beginning of humanity's story. Each chapter will be published weekly, every Friday, as a way to journey through the story slowly, reflectively, and meaningfully.

I hope this story touches your heart, makes you think, and draws you closer to the truth that—no matter how far we fall—God’s mercy is never out of reach.

With respect and gratitude,
--- Ratty
